Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will You Sell Clones To Unlicensed Growers?

Yes, all of our cannabis clones ship with a THC percentage lower than 0.3%. We can also deliver clones to licensed growers across the United States.

If you’re looking to place a bulk order, please email us and we will get back to you asap!

Do You Deliver Anywhere In The US?

Yes! As of April 2022, the DEA has divulged that plant material such as clones or seeds that do not have over 0.03% THC are covered under the farm bill and considered hemp. We can now ship to all 50 States.

What you do with the clones once you receive them is up to you, and your responsibility to follow local laws. If you want to eventually flower them out and generate high THC buds from them you should follow all local laws. We take no responsibility for what you do with them once you receive the clones.

Should I Buy Marijuana Clones, Teens or Seeds?

Some people do like the process of growing from seed, however most get frustrated with the poor germination results, lack of consistency and effort involved in getting the seedlings to survive long enough to transplant.

If you want consistency and the best phenotypes of your preferred genetics you should buy clones. Clones are easy to use and much more difficult to mess up than seeds.

If you want to shave even more time off of your grow and start flowering within a month of receiving your plants, we recommend ordering our teens, which on average are around 12″-16″ tall! Our teens have well developed root systems and you’ll only need to keep them in the vegetative stage for 3-4 weeks before flipping them into flower.

For large scale commercial growers we do have tissue culture clones available if you’re interested.

How Do I Complete An Order?

  1. Fill your cart with at least 4 of our clones from the shop menu and quantity selector (you can mix and match).
  2. Fill out the billing/shipping information on the checkout page and complete the checkout.
  3. On the thank you page you’ll receive and order number and a visible total.
  4. Pay the total shown on the thank you page to one of the accepted payment methods and type your order number in the payment notes so we can confirm your payment (Clones & Seeds only please).
  5. We’ll email you back to confirm receipt of payment and let you know when your clones will ship, and later follow up with your tracking info once they ship.

How Long Do The Clones Take To Arrive?

Our main nursery is centrally located in the US, so our average shipping time from the day we get them in the mail is 2 days to anywhere in the US.

Sometimes very rural areas will receive them in 3 days. This is not an issue though, because our clones are hardened off and well rooted. We have performed multiple “stress tests” where we’ve found that our clones can withstand up to 4-5 days in a box without issue.

If there are any issues with the clones when they arrive (dead, broken stems) we ALWAYS send replacements, just make sure you send us pictures within 48 HOURS of receiving them.

What Are The Best Strains For Outdoor Grows?

The answer is it depends on where you live. In the states our facilities are located, where there isn’t much humidity, ALL of the clones you see available will do fantastic outdoors.

However, if you live in a climate with high humidity, it’s best to go with strains that are on the lighter size in terms of yield. The bigger and denser the buds, the better the chance of getting bud rot in crazy humidity.

Do You Offer A Guarantee?

Yes! We’ve perfected our shipping methods and our facility is completely sterile, so we offer a break-free and pest free guarantee.

All clones are healthy, fully rooted and hardened off to guarantee healthy clones when they arrive. However, we do not guarantee that all of your clones will survive after transplant. These are live plants, and no matter how healthy they are when they arrive you can expect around 90% success rate if you know what you’re doing.

Our marijuana clones are more fail-safe than any clones you’ll find elsewhere, but experience and understanding of the transplant and care process are ultimately what will determine their success. As long as you understand the basics, you’ll most likely see a 90-100% success rate.

Regarding Shipping Delays: 99% of the time our clones arrive healthy and happy within 2 days. However, rural areas, slow moving FedEx locations can and have slowed the process down, resulting in plants that are dead on arrival.

If this does happen to your clones, you must take pictures and send them to us within 48 hours of receiving your shipment, and we’ll send you replacements free of charge.

Weather-Related Shipping Policy

Please be advised that we cannot accept responsibility for products that arrive Dead on Arrival (DOA) due to freezing or heating temperatures at your delivery address. It is your responsibility to assess the weather conditions at your location and select appropriate shipping dates to ensure the best possible quality of your plants upon arrival.

If the temperature falls below 30°F or above 100°F during transit, we will not offer re-ships or refunds for any DOA plants. We highly recommend that you exercise discretion when placing your order, especially in colder or hotter months, to ensure favorable weather conditions for plant survival during shipping.

Replacement/Refund Policy

To be eligible for a replacement or refund, we require that you send us clear photos of the product within 48 hours of receiving your order. This helps us ensure that the items are in the condition you received them in.

We are confident that when the plants were shipped, they were in great condition. Unfortunately, we cannot offer replacements or refunds if the 48-hour window for reporting an issue is missed.

We appreciate your understanding and are here to assist you if you need any further support within the specified time frame.

Outdoor Clone Lighting Policy

Premature Flowering Disclaimer

At COF, we take great pride in providing healthy, vigorous clones ready for transplant. However, environmental conditions beyond our control—particularly light exposure—play a critical role in the success of outdoor cannabis cultivation.

Important Notice:

Cannabis clones are light-sensitive and may begin to flower prematurely if transplanted outdoors too early in the season or in areas with insufficient daily light. This condition, known as photoperiod-induced premature flowering, can negatively impact plant growth and final yield.

To ensure optimal results, clones should only be transplanted outdoors when:

  • There are 14+ hours of natural daylight, or

  • Supplemental lighting is used to extend the photoperiod during early growth stages

Policy Statement:

Clones On Fire is not responsible for any premature flowering, stunted growth, or reduced yield resulting from:

  • Transplanting clones outdoors during periods of inadequate daylight

  • Failure to use supplemental lighting

  • Any other environmental or cultivation conditions outside of our control

By purchasing clones from us, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for ensuring proper lighting and environmental conditions after transplant.

If you are unsure about the appropriate timing or lighting conditions for transplanting, our team is happy to offer general guidance, but ultimate responsibility lies with the grower.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
